Gallagher pens Foxes deal
Leicester midfielder Paul Gallagher has signed a new four-year contract which will see him remain at the club until 2015.
Gallagher was yesterday offered a new deal alongside both Richie Wellens and Andy King, and has wasted no time in committing his future to the Foxes.
The 26-year-old has excelled under Sven-Goran Eriksson in the Championship this season, hitting eight league goals in the club's push towards the play-offs.
But it is the forward's creative abilities that most impress Foxes chief Eriksson, who likened the Scot to former England captain David Beckham after his three assists in the 3-0 win over Scunthorpe on Saturday.
Eriksson also admitted he was confident that both Wellens and King would also commit their futures at the Walkers Stadium, signings which would no doubt please the Swede more than any new capture.
