Leicester manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has admitted his interest in securing the services of South African striker Bernard Parker.
The striker was on trial with City this week, scoring in the 2-2 draw with Aston Villa Reserves on on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old has impressed Eriksson during his short spell with the club, and a deal could potentially be on the cards next month.
"Bernard Parker did very well in the reserve game," the Swede said.
"He has gone back to FC Twente and they have a game tonight. But it is very interesting because he is a good player.
"I have seen him play for Twente and in South Africa, and for the national team, so I knew before he was a good player. I want to know what the price is because I don't know that yet, but he is good. We will see but I am not sure 100 per cent.
"I am not sure about the contract problem but I have heard about it. I will find out."
Parker starred for host nation at the World Cup this summer, but has failed to hold down a first team place a Twente since joining the Dutch outfit last year.
The striker hit fame in his home nation with Thanda Royal Zulu, where he hit an impressive 109 goals in his 116 appearances for the club.
And Eriksson could be prepared to save the pacy striker from his struggles in the Netherlands in the January window.
