Bednar deal edges closer
Leicester have turned their attentions to West Brom striker Roman Bednar after being told Ishmael Miller is not available.
Sven-Goran Eriksson had been tracking Miller for around a month and looked to have landed the former Manchester City youngster, but the City chief was rebuffed in his efforts.
"I don`t think they are willing to loan him out at all. The latest I heard from them is that they want to keep him," Eriksson said.
"We have a few days to go and the loan window shuts on Thursday, but I don`t want to talk about certain players."
Bednar looks certain to be heading out on loan this week, with Nigel Pearson also keen on bringing the powerful striker to the KC Stadium according to reports.
Eriksson is keen to bolster his attacking line ahead of the busy Christmas period, and looks set to step up his interest in Bednar before Thursday's loan deadline.
West Brom are happy to allow the Czech international the opportunity to gain first team football elsewhere with the striker well down in the pecking order at the Hawthorns.
Bednar's potential arrival could set up an interesting situation for Matty Fryatt, who is allegedly the source of interest from fellow Championship sides Reading and Derby.
