When the Fosse Boys were born some months ago, Leicester City had itself a group of fans simply determined to improve the atmosphere at the Walkers Stadium.
After meeting with the club and setting forth their proposals the group were allowed their own area in the Kop from which to congregate.
But things have since turned somewhat ugly for the group, who have been issued with an ultimatum from the football club after allegedly receiving complaints from other fans.
According to the club, 25 e-mails were received regarding the Fosse Boys, 22 of which were allegedly complaining about the group being too noisy. Yes, you heard it right.
A leading member of the Fosse Boys was told last week that the group could face ejection from the stadium should their persistent standing continue, despite other sections of the home ground having persistently stood for a substantial period of time.
Several supporters wearing Fosse Boys-related clothing were refused entry to the stadium, claims which the club have since denied.
Leicester released a statement on the issue earlier today which read:
"The club was, and remains, in full support of the efforts of the Fosse Boys and is keen to assist in improving the atmosphere and matchday experience for all Leicester City supporters."
Yes, they had to pull out the old match day experience line didn't they? Don't we just love modern football.
The group stand for traditional supporter values - constant vocal support and original songs - and are seeking support from anyone who feels like-minded in their approaches to supporting their football team.
A petition has been set up backing the group in their struggle against the club, which can be found here.
Registering your support takes less than 30 seconds of your time.
