Leicester have completed the signing of Sunderland striker Martyn Waghorn on a permanent deal.
The deal, which could rise to £3 million, sees Waghorn return to the club he spent last season on loan with as he hit 12 goals in the Foxes' rise to the play-offs.
The 20-year-old bagged Leicester's young player of the year award last term for his efforts, and was subsequently chased for an extended stay at the Walkers.
Talk at the beginning of the summer suggested that securing the services of the 20-year-old would be near impossible however, but with new investment Paulo Sousa has been able to land his man on a permanent deal.
Sunderland manager Steve Bruce had insisted that the young striker was part of his plans for the season, but the recent signings of Danny Wellbeck and Asamoah Gyan have signalled the end of life with the Black Cats for Waghorn.
The move is sure to delight most Leicester fans, who grew to admire the forward for his tireless effort up front and goals in important fixtures.
With Waghorn now part of first team plans for good, the Blue Army will be hoping the young striker can turn around the team's poor start to the campaign starting at Coventry in just under two weeks time.
Welcome back Waggy.
