Clark cool on Howard move

Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark has not ruled out a move for Leicester City's Steve Howard this summer.

The former-Newcastle United midfielder is an admirer of the 32-year-old, and is reportedly keen to bring Howard to the Galpharm Stadium this summer.

But Clark has remained tentative in his hunt for the big striker.

'As I've said before, Steve Howard is someone we know all about and have kept tabs on for a long time,' Clark told the Huddersfield Examiner.

'But he's still a Leicester player, and as such, it would be disrespectful to comment further.'

Howard is proven at League One level, having formed a formidable partnership with Matty Fryatt in Leicester's victorious League One campaign in the 2007/08 season.

The former-Derby County man was named the Foxes' player of the season that year despite Fryatt's incredible 32 goals for the club, and Clark may well see Howard as the man to help the Terriers reach the Championship next season.
