Pearson set for Hull?

Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric could soon be on the hunt for yet another manager as rumours surrounding the possible departure of Nigel Pearson to Hull escalate.

The Foxes manager has been strongly linked to take over the vacant post at the KC Stadium, with Sky Sports News and BBC Radio Hull both suggesting Pearson will be leaving the Walkers this summer.

Mandaric has always stated that Pearson made a verbal agreement to stay with the club, but contract negotiations have taken longer than expected to transpire.

The Leicester chairman was quoted as saying that negotiations would begin this summer, but strong reports linking Pearson with a move to take over the reins at Hull appear to have delivered a hammer blow to City.

Sky Sources revealed that Pearson is in talks with the Tigers, whilst BBC Radio Humberside reported that the clubs had made a deal for the Foxes manager.

Pearson will undoubtedly be taking his backroom staff with him should the move to Leicester's Championship rivals materialise, leaving the club with many pieces to pick up this summer.

The news has come as a great shock to Foxes fans this evening, who, after such a successful year in the Championship, were not expecting Pearson to leave anytime soon.

As of this moment it is unsure as to why he is leaving the club and why a contract was not signed earlier, but at this present time it is looking increasingly like Leicester will be looking for a new man in the coming weeks.

Truly a great shock and a hammer blow indeed.
