Taggart set to move on
Leicester City reserve team manager Gerry Taggart is set to leave the club to link up with new Oldham Athletic manager Paul Dickov at Boundary Park.
Former Fox Dickov was officially installed as the League One side's new player/coach yesterday, and looks set to recruit the services of Taggart for his assistant post.
The Northern Irishman had been in charge of Leicester's second string since 2007, and is now set for a step up to League football with The Latics.
Taggart made 142 appearances in a City shirt in his six year spell with the club, earning hit cult status along the way for his no-nonsense approach to the game.
He was similarly adored at Stoke City where he moved after his time with Leicester, proving his knack once again as a strong fans' favourite.
The 39-year-old will leave the Walkers with the full support of the club, not least from us the fans who all wish him well with his future endeavours.
Strangling Dennis Wise will always leave you with our utmost respect, even if it wasn't in our shirt...
