King signs long-term deal
Leicester midfielder Andy King has signed a deal which will see him stay at the Walkers Stadium until 2014, according to the Leicester Mercury.
King has been an integral part of first team plans ever since his breakthrough into the first team from the youth ranks in 2007, racking up 115 appearances for the club to date.
The news will come as great relief to Leicester fans who were worried at the prospect of the 21-year-old leaving the club this summer, after a close move to Aston Villa broke down in January.
Nigel Pearson has been understandably keen to tie down the services of the Welsh international, who has proved to be a key part of his side for two seasons.
With ten goals to his name this season King represents a vital source of goals, silencing those who understate his value to the first team.
King's signing represents the first step of a tricky road to keeping hold of City's best talent this summer, including the likes of Jack Hobbs who could well be in demand this transfer window.
