Peterborough have confirmed their interest in signing Leicester midfielder James Wesolowski, according to the Leicester Mercury.
Posh chairman Barry Fry confirmed the League One side's interest in a City player believed to be Wesolowski, who has spent the majority of this season on loan with Scottish sde Hamilton Academical.
The 22-year-old has been plagued with injuries since breaking into the Leicester first team as a promising teenager, not least the two broken legs suffered by the Australian amongst several other substantial setbacks.
Wesolowski has made 58 appearances in a Leicester shirt to date, playing a prominent role in the 2006/07 and 2007/08 campaigns.
But continual injuries eventually forced the central midfielder out of every future manager's plans, as loan moves to Cheltenham Town and Dundee United followed before his eventual switch to Hamilton this season.
Wesolowski has impressed with the Accies this campaign, the club extending his initial six month loan to the full season after a good run of form.
Peterborough have also been linked with a move for City captain Matt Oakley, but a move to London Road looks unlikely after both Barry Fry and manager Gary Johnson quashed the rumours.
Oakley still has one year remaining on his current deal with the Foxes, and it is likely that wages would prove a significant stumbling block for Gary Johnson's side.
