The agent of former Leicester striker Billy Kee has revealed the disappointment of the 19-year-old to leave the club he grew up with.
Dean Sheehan, agent of Kee said: 'Billy would have loved to have remained with City and we were surprised he wasn't offered a new deal.
'He would not have been expensive and he has plenty of potential, and he loved the club. I think clubs like Leicester need to bring through some local talent.
'He would have run through a brick wall for City. He is a Leicester boy through and through. He had a great experience at Accrington last season and learned a lot. Once he got into his stride he did very well.
Kee spent time on loan with the League Two side for the majority of the campaign, finding the net nine times this season.
Whilst on loan with Stanley the youngster was called up to Northern Ireland's full squad for the first time after replacing the injured Kyle Lafferty.
With an under-21 cap and several under-19 appearances under his belt, Kee is beginning to establish himself on the international scene and will be hoping to find a new club as soon as possible ahead of the new season.
But Sheehan is not worried about the striker's abilities to find a new club.
'However, it is not the end of it by any means and there are a number of clubs interested in him, so I am confident he can find a good club,' he said.
The 19-year-old has been linked with a host of League One and League Two clubs, and looks set to find his feet in the lower leagues soon enough.
