'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A Sad Leicester City Farewell!

After a thoroughly interesting and enjoyable few months I have to tell you that I have decided to move on from being editor of Vitalfootball Leicester City.

I have deliberately made my decision at the end of the season (and the administrator's holiday) so that a new editor can be found in good time for the new season.

I have to say that if a taste of football journalism appeals to you this is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience.

The Vitalfootball team are brilliant to work with, a real pleasure.
They are quick to help if you have problems and confident enough to let you get on with putting your own stamp on the site.

All I ever experienced was the very best of backing and good humoured support from people who quite obviously loved their football as much as me.

The site has become well known and well quoted. My moving on is quite simply because other projects which are presently coming on stream are going to take up an increasing amount of my time and I didn't want to get into a new season before making my decision known.

I have thoroughly enjoyed editing the site and I am quite convinced that the Vitalfootball network will go on to one success after another.

It is a smashing concept with an up-to-date and ever improving and innovative layout that has already left many of its competitors in its wake.

I shall doubtless continue to make contributions and to support and testify to the Vitalfootball concept in any way that I can.

To all those who have registered and joined in the debates, my heartfelt and sincere thankyou. And to the new editor when he or she arrives, I wish you lots of luck and enjoyment.

As I write this I've a glass of ice-cold Muscadet in my hand with which I'd like to toast the site, the staff, the fans and the future of football.

Its been the sort of fun I'll never forget.

Thanks to Thracian for his contribution. Anyone up to the task of filling such big boots and taking the site forwards?

I am sure there will be plenty of offers from Leicester fans to take over.

Well done, you obviously got more backing than the portsmouth admin. I've been waiting 5 weeks for vital to change a simple password. Good luck to the person that takes over.
