Bruce Ready to Sign

Ipswich Town defender Alex Bruce is set to become Nigel Pearson's second signing of the January transfer window.

Bruce watched Leicester's goalless draw with Newcastle yesterday evening, and is strongly rumoured to be joining the Foxes on a loan deal tomorrow.

The 25-year-old is understood to be frustrated at the lack of first team opportunities at Portman Road since suffering injury in September, and looks set to be joining City shortly.

Bruce, despite the lack of opportunities in recent times, is still rated highly at Ipswich, and was briefly handed the captaincy before the injury.
