Nobby signs

Leicester have secured the permanent signing of Nolberto Solano until the end of the season.

The former-Newcastle midfield has signed a six month contract that will keep him at the Walkers Stadium until July.

The popular winger trained with City yesterday before finally putting pen to paper earlier today to secure his move.

The 35-year-old has made over 300 appearances for English clubs since 1998, playing for Newcastle United, Aston Villa and West Ham United along the way.

Leicester are trying to gain clearance to play the Peruvian in tomorrow's FA Cup clash at Cardiff. Solano's home debut could arrive next weekend against former club Newcastle, a match where he is sure to receive a raptuous welcome from all involved.
