Gradel hands in transfer request
Leicester City winger Max Gradel has handed in a transfer request, after manager Nigel Pearson stated he was unwilling to sell the 21-year-old to Leeds.
Gradel has spent the past three months on loan at Elland Road, a successful period in which he found the net three times. His appearances there came mostly off of the bench, but Gradel has seen enough to know where he wants his future to lie.
The Ivorian has always found consistency difficult at the Walkers since breaking into the first team, never managing to hold down a first team place for a sustained period of time.
Yesterday City manager Nigel Pearson welcomed Gradel back into his squad after his loan period had ended, saying: 'He hasn't been playing. There seems to be this misconception that he has been playing every week, but he has been on the bench. I am pleased to have him back, if I am honest. I like him and I think he has potential.'
Talks are ongoing for a switch to Elland Road, with Simon Grayson keen to land the youngster on a permanent basis.
