Foxes Target Taylor

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has targeted Birmingham centre back Martin Taylor to bolster his defensive situation at the Walkers Stadium.

It is understood that City have made enquiries about the 30-year-old, with a loan deal more than likely should the two clubs form an agreement.

Taylor has found his first team opportunities severely limited at St. Andrews under Alex McLeish, and has not appeared for Birmingham so far this season.

Despite this Taylor has an abundance of experience in the Championship, playing a big part in the West Midlands club's promotion to the top flight last year.

With Aleksander Tunchev currently injured, Pearson is keen to add cover to his backline, with only Jack Hobbs, Wayne Brown and Michael Morrison to call upon at the heart of defence.
