Leeds extend Gradel loan

Leeds United have extended the loan of 21-year-old Leicester City Max Gradel until January 2nd.

Gradel's loan was due to expire this weekend, but the Foxes have allowed the winger to remain at Elland Road until the New Year.

Unsurprisingly the new terms require that Leicester have a 24-hour recall clause in the contract, most likely given the current injury situation regarding captain Matt Oakley.

Gradel has featured five times for Leeds so far this season, with his first start coming in Leeds' Johnstone's Paint Trophy victory over Grimsby midweek. His impact has featured predominantly from the bench, where he has found the net once in United's 4-0 victory over Yeovil.

Manager Simon Grayson has declared his delight with the move, saying: "We're delighted Leicester have agreed to let Max stay on, and I'd like to thank Nigel Pearson for allowing him to do that."

Gradel will remain with the Leeds United squad ahead of their match with Brighton on the 21st November.
