Fans Unhappy at Pricing Structure

Leicester City fans have expressed their dismay at Ipswich Town's pricing structure for their first away game of the season on August 15th.

Fans are being expected to cough up a heavy £31 for an adult ticket, a fee which has put off a subsantial section of the support ahead of the game

Understandly tickets were much cheaper in League One last season, but many fans did not expect such a significant increase this season.

So where does this leave the die-hard fans? Should they be expected to pay the quite frankly ridiculous prices to watch a game of Championship football? Well, yes it seems. Our club seems content with the pricing structure, they agreed to it in the first place after all. Thanks.

And here lies the state of modern football. If this is merely the Championship, thank goodness we're not in a league any higher. As somebody quite rightly posted on our own forum, you spend your whole time supporting your team's attempts to achieve something, which will ultimately ruin your enjoyment of supporting that team.

Fans are being priced out of the game, and it's surely not on. But do the organisations care? Of course they don't.

Vital Verdict: Ipswich's prices are quite frankly disgraceful. £31 to watch a Championship football match is ridiculous, and it puts those die-hard fans in a poor situation. In stark contrast, Sheffield United are charging us £19 for adult ticket just three days later.

It's certainly made my mind up about not going; Ipswich aren't getting any of my money I'm afraid. Looks like an afternoon in the pub with Jeff Stelling for me!

I have to cough up a fair bit for a season ticket at Portman Road in the North Stand, but it's because Marcus Evans (our elusive owner) bought the debt and we are still paying him back - and while we are not in the Premiership, we have to pay him back some how.
