McGivern Interest Stepped Up

McGivern Interest Stepped Up

Manchester City left back Ryan McGivern's loan move to Leicester could be finalised soon, according to one media source.

Hartlepool's Northern Echo reports that manager Chris Turner has been forced to search elsewhere after McGivern has 'edged closer to joining Championship new-comers Leicester'.

McGivern has been heavily linked with the Foxes in recent months, most recently in Friday's Daily Star, and a move to the Walkers Stadium this summer seems imminent.

The 19-year-old would join City with competition for the left back spot fierce, England Under-21 international Joe Mattock and Bruno Berner both also vowing for first team places.
