Foxes Set For McGivern Loan?
Manchester City left back Ryan McGivern could be on his way to the Walkers Stadium according to Sky Sports.
Last month we reported the same story, but it is now suggested that manager Nigel Pearson could step up his attempts to land the 19 year-old on a season long loan.
Currently the only left back at the club is Joe Mattock whose own future is still uncertain, so McGivern would be a welcome addition to the squad.
The player spent time on loan at Morecambe last season, where he impressed in his short period with the club. It is very possible that McGivern is a recommendation of Northern Ireland's Under-19 coach Steve Beaglehole, who was Leicester's youth team manager a short time ago.
The defender was called up to the Nigel Worthington's full squad last year, despite not yet making an appearance for Manchester City. Since then the youngster has gone on to win 6 caps for Northern Ireland, and could now be a summer target for Nigel Pearson's Foxes on a season long loan.
