Bunn Signing Confirmed

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson has swooped this evening to complete the signing of Blackburn goalkeeper Mark Bunn on an initial one-month loan deal.

The signing follows first choice goalkeeper David Martin's injury in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Swindon, along with injuries to Paul Henderson (groin) and Alex Cisak (wrist).

Youth academy graduate Carl Pentney replaced Martin and impressed, but Pearson insists more experience is required in the position:

'Carl performed very well when he came in against Swindon under what were very difficult circumstances, but we need a player with greater experience in that area.

'Mark played a number of first team games during his time with Northampton. I am very grateful to Sam Allardyce and Blackburn Rovers for sanctioning this move.'

Bunn, 24, signed for Blackburn after impressing at Northampton Town, where he made 90 appearances. He was also a part of Blackburn's first team that beat Blyth Spartans in the F.A Cup.

Bunn has been handed the number 33 shirt and is expected to go straight into the first team for tomorrow night's vital clash at Hartlepool.
