Powell Extends Stay

Chris Powell has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the season.

The 38 year old former England international has been in impressive form for the Foxes so far this season since signing as a free agent in August.

Manager Nigel Pearson has seen enough in Powell in his 17 appearances with the team to offer him a deal that will keep him with the Foxes at least until the end of the 08/09 season.

From Club OS: 'Chris is a very experienced older head and he has been a real asset to us. He compliments our young back line very well and I am delighted that he has agreed to extend his contract with us'.
