Mandaric - Fryatt Will Sign

Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric insists top goal-scorer Matty Fryatt will sign a new contract this week.

The Leicester forward currently has 22 goals so far this season, and Mandaric is naturally keen for Fryatt to pledge his future to the club within the week.

Mandaric: 'Things are going in the right direction.

'We are talking to his agent and I don't see any major difficulties - we want him to sign and he wants to stay.'

He added: 'I would be very, very surprised if he didn't sign in the next few days.

'Matty is a very bright young man, very positive, he loves the club and his team mates.

'There are people who are interested but there's one club that is more interested than anyone else and that is Leicester City.'

Fryatt's current contract runs out at the end of this season.
