City Swoop to Sign Youngster

Leicester have completed the signing of free agent Aman Verma on a six-month contract.

The 21 year-old midfielder had previously played for Bedworth United before moving on to Redditch United at the beginning of this season.

Verma has had connections with Leicester since the age of 12, and played for the academy for a period of time before eventually being released by the club.

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson (from club OS): "Aman has been on trial with us for a number of weeks and he has benefited from training on a full time basis.

He's a strong lad and has a desire to learn. It's early days for him yet, but he has impressed me so far.

We have given him an opportunity and we will now continue to monitor his progress within the first team environment."

Verma has been handed the number 34 shirt for the Foxes and will be available for Saturday's encounter at Carlisle United.
