Leicester 0-0 Lincoln (3-1 on penalties)

Leicester advanced to the Quarter-Finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Northern Section after a penalty shootout win over Lincoln, following a 0-0 draw.

Matty Fryatt had an early chance but was denied by Lincoln 'keeper Ayden Duffy, then Steve Howard shot wide. Danny N'Guesson was denied Lincoln's best chance by a fine save from Henderson, with Fryatt missing a glorious chance to win the tie before the end for the hosts.

After 90 minutes, with the match ending 0-0, it went straight to penalties. Bruno Berner, Matty Fryatt and James Wesolowski scored but Andy King missed his effort. Only Lee Frecklington could score in reply for the away side as Scott Kerr and Danny N'Guesson both saw their spot kicks saved by Henderson and Frank Sinclair put his effort over the bar.

The ironic thing is that we practised penalties in training. Good knows how bad they would have been had we not !

if they had'nt have practiced the penalties....they would probably have scored all of them....
