Pearson wants his City players up for it

Leicester complete the pre-season preparations this afternoon with a trip to Selhurst Park, home of Crystal Palace, and Nigel Pearson is looking for his City troops to prove that they are up for the season that is on its way.

The result isn't overly important for the City gaffer, although he says he is looking for a positive one, the main thing for him is for the players to put in a performance and prove to him that they are up for the League One season and that they want to be in his starting XI against MK Dons next weekend.

Pearson has a rough idea of what his team will be for the League One opener but also insists that this match against Palace, and the weeks training that lies ahead, gives people the chance to give him a few selection headaches, which is what he wants!

This is the squad that he will select from today: Henderson, Logan; Gilbert, Tunchev, Hobbs, Morrison, Mattock, Adams, Gradel, Oakley, Wesolowski, Kishishev, A King, Dyer, Porter, A Chambers, Hayles, Howard, Campbell, Fryatt.

MK Dons isn't the easiest start to the season. Really hope you beat them though.
