Norwich bid for Howard rejected

It is being reported that Leicester have rejected an offer from Championship side Norwich for Steve Howard.

Howard, 32, has been on the Norwich radar for most of the summer on and off and reports on Thursday believe that an offer of £500,000 was turned down. An improved offer is likely, but with City shelling out £1.5m in January to sign him from Derby it would have to be a fair bit more to tempt us into selling you would suspect?

Is your chairman covering the wage bill? TV income is much less in League One and I suspect Howard is a top earner, so Mandaric may prefer him off the budget. That said, there aren't many Norwich fans keen on this move, so upset Roeder if you like, we know-nothing fans will be grinning if Howard stays with you. For my money, £750k would be top price. We're not millionaires you know!

Roeder is denying an interest in Howard anyway isn't he?

I think we should keep howard,he gets a lot of stick of so called lcfc fans, but he is always up there fighting for the ball,at the birmingham friendly the 2 women sitting behind me were really shouting abuse at him i had to bite my tongue very hard so as to not abuse them, give the bloke a break i think he will do well at this level wait till a few games at least before abusing him,not that i agree with abusing the lads anyway,id like to see some of the fans running round for 90 minutes

I can't understand shouting abuse at your own players? Yes we all have a go now and then, but some go overboard don't they. If he stays I'll be happy, but if he goes and its for the best for City then so be it.
