Missed penalty but Leicester still draw

Pre-season continued with Nigel Pearson taking his Leicester side to Kenilworth Road, home of Luton, on Tuesday night and we came away with a 1-1 draw.

We started with Logan, J Chambers, Morrison, Worley, Mattock, Gradel, Oakley, Wesolowski, Dyer, Howard and Campbell. We had plenty of chances early on and only missed opportunities or good saves from Luton keeper Dean Brill kept the scores level, although Steve Howard was also denied by the crossbar. Luton took the lead through Matt Spring, and further chances came and went for both sides before summer signing Lloyd Dyer forced the equaliser early in the second half.. Howard had the chance to put City in front but his penalty was well saved by Brill, who it must be added was excellent from the sounds of it in the Luton goal. Matty Fryatt also grazed the post before the end.

This will prove another very worthwhile fixture for City, with Gilbert (45), Kishishev (45), Adams (64), Fryatt (70) and A Chambers (70) all getting on as second half substitutes. Our next match is against Quorn on Thursday.
