'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Gilbert, not Filbert, makes it 5!

Leicester have signed Arsenal youngster Kerrea Gilbert on a year-long loan. The 21-year old right-back becomes Nigel Pearson's fifth signing as Leicester manager.

He has made 9 appearances for Arsenal so far and has been out on loan to Cardiff City, and more recently Southend.

The highly rated youngster is looking forward to playing under Pearson after knowing him from his England Under-21 days 'I'm delighted to be here and would like to thank the manager for giving me the chance to impress and play regular first-team football,' he told lcfc.co.uk.

He also went on to add 'I have worked with the Gaffer before at England Youth Level and have got nothing but praise for him. I am excited to be here. The facilities are of Premier League quality and I am keen to get started and to help Leicester City bounce back to the Championship at the first time of asking.'

Pearson added 'I have worked with Kerrea before and he is a fighter and a winner, he is strong in the tackle and athletic and we will only benefit from his arrival.'

What are your thoughts on this signing?

Another very good article FatherTed, well written keep them coming. I think this signing is a great signing as anyone that has been in the Arsenal starting line-up, as Gilbert has, obviously has talent and ability. I'm looking forward to seeing him this season.
