Anyone wondering about Joey Gudjonsson's commitment to Leicester City now he's signed a contract to play abroad from the summer should dwell on the statistics...
Joey has actually played more minutes for City this season, 3262, than any other player.
Indeed, according to Andy's Stats.co.uk, he is one of only three players, the others being goalkeeper Rab Douglas (3135 minutes) and centre-back Paddy McCarthy (3081) who have passed the 3000-minute mark.
Nils Eric Johansson (2988) and Alan Maybury (2974) should join the 3000-minute club during the Ipswich game on Saturday.
Gudjonsson has also started the most matches this season (36) compared with Douglas's 35 and McCarthy's 34.
Players have been seen to go into cruise control once they know that their future is elsewhere but City manager Rob Kelly has let it be known he has no doubts whatsoever about Gudjonsson being 100% focused because he is 'that kind of person'.
Performance-wise his enthusiasm and appetite for the game have been undiminished as Leicester have put together an unprecedented run this season of five games unbeaten.
Although a midfielder, Gudjonsson remains joint second top scorer with seven goals alongside Iain Hume and behind Mark DeVries (9) who is out on loan in Holland.
